Mary Boss

Mary guides Purpose Networks’ development of image, film and video content. Mary was introduced to filmmaking in college studying with experimental filmmaker Stan Brakhage. Mary continued her cinema studies at the Sorbonne in Paris. Film history is part of her inspiration. She seeks truth, honesty and an interpreted modernism with a fresh and warm aesthetic. Mary likes discovering the spontaneous accidental moment and revealing people’s personal stories. For her, creating stories is like a mosaic, blending visual and musical elements to create truth. Mary’s successful career as a commercial director and producer includes creating films and commercials for Kate Spade, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Oleg Cassini, National Geographic and Cartoon Network along with numerous beauty and fashion clients. Mary attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where she also participated on the NCAA champion ski team.
